The Nevada Museum of Art is open from 10am to 6pm Tuesday through Sunday after originally being founded in 1931 and it is the only art museum in Nevada to be recognized by the American Alliance of Museums. The current museum structure was designed by globally acclaimed architect Will Bruder and is located in the center of the downtown Liberty District. The four-story 70,000-square-foot structure is modeled after geological formations in the Black Rock Desert and serves as a visual metaphor for the institution’s intellectual concentration on art and the environment.

By providing inclusive programming, diverse and exciting exhibitions, research, and teaching opportunities in its transcultural collection the Lilley Museum of Art which is open Tuesday through Saturday promotes the University’s educational purpose and enriches the cultural life of the Nevada community.

Galleries at Work: A Sneak Peek at the Permanent Collection’ is a selection of items from Sierra Arts Foundation’s permanent collection that is on display at the Reno City Hall Metro Gallery.
